On September 30th, we celebrate the 110th anniversary of St.Therese’s entrance into eternal life. She died on September 30, 1897.Therese died when she was 24, after having lived as cloistered Carmelite for less than ten years.

This year we are celebrating her feast day 3 times. Today, on the anniversary of her death, on Monday, Oct. 1st, her feast day in the new calendar, and on Wednesday, Oct. 3rd, her feast day in the old calendar.

St. Therese has long been a very special saint in our family. We’ve received many surprises from St. Therese throughout the years. Some have been spiritual blessings, some have been material blessings, but the kids are sure to remember to pray 3 Hail Marys every Tuesday, and joyfully wait for her to shower us with roses.

Here is a story about a rose I received this year after praying a novena for a very special blessing. This is the answer to our prayers.
