This afternoon Angela, who is 4 years old, was digging through the garden and picked up some tiny columbine seeds. I told her to put them down, because at the time I had no idea what they were. I told her it might be "bug plop." They had recently seen the Magic School Bus episode about decomposing. This is what she said to me:

"This isn’t bug plop. These are seeds. Bug plop is squishy." Gross!

I’d like to know how she knows bug plop is squishy. I hope it was that Magic School Bus episode : )
