Last night the kids baked cookies for St. Nicholas.
He left some for us to eat.
This morning the kids woke up to stockings full of things to do today. They got playdough, jacks, bouncy balls, play money and they each got a Nativity ornament to put on the tree on the 3rd Sunday of Advent.
He even left a Gingerbread house kit.
After the kids finished the gingerbread house, they watched the video, Nicholas, The Boy Who Became Santa.
Tonight, we will go to Mass, and afterwards, we will unrap our next book on the list, The Miracle of Saint Nicholas, and read it by candlelight.
This has been such a wonderful day. I hope the kids remember this day for a very long time.
What a beautiful celebration in honor of the patron saint of children. Great photos! You children are adorable!
God bless you and yours.
Happy Feast Ruth! That gingerbread house is beautiful, as are you and those little ones!
Ruth,
I think it is a GREAT idea to read by candlelight!
What wonderful memories you are creating!
